| TRADE PRINTING – A HUB OF SORTS? |
| You may have seen a recent article on hubs in the online edition of the Print 21 magazine. The article examined two different types of hubs that are operating in Sydney. One was the type created by a franchised company that produces economies of scale by printing all franchisees’ work, the other a group of independent small printing firms that formed their own hub by pooling together their resources. I was particularly interested in this article because I think it failed to mention independent hub solutions such as IBS.
I firmly believe that you, our valued clients, truly benefit from outsourcing your printing to an independent trade printer like us. The advantages of reduced costs through gang printing and no capital investment, not to mention the high quality and service, can only be seen as positives. This is why I’m submitting a letter to the editor of Print 21, encouraging them to research trade printers in the context of operating as independent hubs. It’s also an opportunity for you to tell your colleagues about the benefits of using IBS and supplying us with their contact details to help them save money too. If you do have a referral, please contact Jodie Mosselveld or myself. Hopefully with more people exchanging information on hub printing, we will all experience more benefits! I hope you find this edition of The IBS Independent enjoyable and useful. Scott Siganto, Director |

| CASE STUDY | ||
| This month we’re profiling the way postcards have been used by one of our clients’ customers. And surprisingly, they’re not even involved in the tourism industry!
Post Cards
A really clever extension of this idea is selling the postcards as souvenirs to visitors once the exhibition has opened, ensuring that the lifespan of any remaining promotional material is extended and all postcards are used. What a flexible and cost-effective solution! |

You may soon receive a call from Mel, but as a quick introduction, here’s some Q & As: |
