OUR QUALITY GUARANTEE
As your partner in print, we offer a three-way guarantee on all printing produced by IBS. I have previously discussed the merits of our pricing guarantee and highlighted our emphasis on customer service. This month, I wish to draw your attention to the third element of our guarantee – our promise that ‘Our products will surpass all expectations’.

What this basically means for you is that we stand behind the quality of our printing. Furthermore, if there is ever any problem with your printing, we will rectify the problem and reprint the job at no cost to you. To issue this type of guarantee, we have to be confident in our product. And with unique products like Metalix, our new ‘Stationery Class 100’ range and our skilled staff ensuring each job is handled individually with care, we obviously feel confident to issue this guarantee.

I challenge you to find another trade printer who comes close to offering our three-way guarantee. Alternatively, if there’s an area you think we haven’t included in our print promise and we should, please email me directly ssiganto@ibscards.com.au

ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS OF OUR STOCK
At IBS we embrace the ‘green’ message. We use paper from renewable resources which are closed looped when combined with existing recycling programs. Not only do we recycle but our products are also sustainable, as our source is unlimited because it grows again and again.

We also encourage our clients to consider the environment by offering paper products that are sourced from sustainable forestry. The ‘Business Class 420’ is also elemental chlorine free (ECF) and ‘Economy Class 310’ stocks are covered by an environmental management system (EMS).

VIDEO GUIDANCE AVAILABLE
You may have noticed that with the launch of the new website www.ibscards.com.au, we’re focusing on providing tools and services that can help make your job easier. As part of this, we have created some video tutorials to assist you when preparing artwork for printing. To begin with, we have created step-by-step video instructions on how to save a PDF file in Freehand, Illustrator and Indesign. The great thing about these videos is that you can stop and start the tutorial at anytime if you need to get back to something; somewhat like a DVD.

At this stage, these videos are only available by request. To have a copy emailed to you, please contact Natalie at reception@ibscards.com.au. We hope these are useful for you, and would appreciate any feedback on these and ideas for future videos.

CASE STUDY
Product possibilities really are endless when you start to apply some of our additional finishes, such as perforating, scoring, drilling and die-cutting to our existing product range. This month we examine how notepads have just been made even more convenient!

Note pads
A request for a quote recently came in for an A4 notepad with two holes drilled for an arch lever folder. We were impressed with the simplicity of the idea and the numerous applications it could then be extended to. Discussion with the client included school diaries, conference kits, medical files, door-to-door sales kits, sports coaches’ notes, maps, checklists, catalogues, donation forms, training manuals… the list goes on!

Discuss the opportunities with your next client and let us know what you think you could use a drilled notepad for – there are plenty of options!

IN THE KNOW AT IBS
This month we introduce our new receptionist, Natalie Vicary. Natalie started at IBS in May, replacing Hayley who has returned to her native shores in New Zealand. Natalie’s main responsibilities are answering and diverting incoming phone calls. She also provides ETAs and assists with booking job orders into the system.

To find out more about Natalie, we asked her three questions:

Q. What do you think is the most important aspect of printing?
A. Quality, accuracy and good customer service.

Q. What has your experience at IBS taught you so far?
A. Be prepared for any situation.

Q. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
A. Would you believe that I play competition lawn bowls and have a State title?
