GETTING OTHERS TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS
It certainly seems to be a time of financial uncertainty at the moment, which leaves me feeling concerned, relieved and excited. The concern I feel is probably shared with a great many of you who are also owners of small businesses, where we are the front-line that is hit first when petrol prices rise and spending starts to be cut. However on the other hand, as a home-owner I also feel relieved that the interest rates have paused from their gallop ever-upwards. What you may be surprised to learn is the excitement I feel about the opportunities the current business environment offers me.

As a trade printer, I firmly believe that my business exists to be your “invisible partner”. I feel an important part of this is helping you grow your business, which obviously inevitably benefits IBS. So it is now logical that I am encouraging you to do the same. Help your customers build more business through marketing collateral, like traditional ‘rack cards’ or more innovative ideas like bookmarks or notepads. By helping others grow their business, your business will benefit through better relationships and even more orders when the business environment improves.

When someone “just makes an enquiry” about what services you offer, why don’t you start with “helping you grow your business” and the offer of a free print audit? And instead of waiting for the phone to ring, perhaps a call to clients who have previously ordered through you with a special for the month and just a general ‘touch base’, with an offer to help could result in not only some orders, but the growth of a strong business relationship. The easiest sale is generally the one you have already made. Re-orders!

I certainly hope we continue to assist you in this endeavour through this newsletter. If you have any further ideas about how we can help you, please email me on ssiganto@ibscards.com.au Enjoy!

CASE STUDY – DIE CUTS
Did you know that from as little as $88 you can have a die made? The design possibilities are literally endless, as everything from logos to shapes can be cut out of your printed sheet. Die cutting can transform ordinary design into an affordable piece of art people will keep and remember. Today we will examine a specific product that can be easily created as a result of a die – door and reverse mirror hangers.

Door hangers

Multitudes of businesses can use door or reverse mirror hangers to their advantage, most notably those that involve door-to-door sales and car services. Real estate agents, couriers, charities, mechanics and car cleaners spring to mind. But with a little creativity, you may be able to design a door hanger that stands out from the crowd, and links your customer to their audience in a new and innovative way. For instance, how about suggesting to your next babysitting or child care customer that a door hanger with your brand on it could be given to kids as a gift? Perhaps you could design a door hanger that welcomes owners to their new home, courtesy of the builder? Or even a door hanger for your clients’ boardrooms promoting the fact they’ll be going to your business once they’ve created the idea? Now that’s smart marketing applications for your clients and your business!

CARDBOARD BACKING ON NOTE PADS
Please note that all note pad products have a cardboard backing on them. As this is not described in our price list, we thought it best to show you exactly what they look like!
