| NEW INFORMATION SYSTEM |
| I’m pleased to announce that IBS will be introducing a new MIS (management information system) in early September. Initially it will be rolled out internally to replace the existing system we use in-house and soon after, we will be inviting our clients to enjoy the benefits of an integrated system that incorporates online ordering.
As we get closer to unveiling the system to you, I will explain all the features of the MIS. However in the meantime I’d just like to outline some of the benefits we will all be enjoying:
I am confident that this new system will give all our clients an even better service level, as well as improving our employees’ job satisfaction as a streamlined workflow evolves. Please remember that with the introduction of any new equipment, particularly technology, we may all experience some teething problems or challenges. For this reason, we will simultaneously be running our old system, including our ordering methods, until we are completely satisfied with the new one. The IBS team is committed to ensuring the changeover is as successful as possible, and welcome any feedback you may have regarding the new MIS and its implementation over the coming weeks. Get ready, it is going to be great... Scott Siganto, Director |
| SUPPLY OF FILES | ||
![]() |
In order to streamline our workflow in preparation for the new MIS, we have changed our internal systems regarding the processing of clients’ files with the aim of decreasing turnaround times on their jobs. As a result of this, any files supplied containing RGB and Pantone colours will be converted to CMYK automatically on the rip. Additionally, files containing transparency will be flattened automatically on the rip.
Please note that we will still notify clients if there are major issues regarding their files, however the expectation is that the file supplied is right to print ‘as is’. We also recommend you remind your customers that due to the nature of gang printing, colours may vary from run to run, however we do our best to ensure colour consistency throughout the run. |
|
| COURIERS | ||
| When discussing turnaround times with your customers, keep in mind that orders up to 10 kilograms will be sent by overnight courier, however larger orders will be road freighted and therefore may take a little longer to arrive. We advise you take this into account when placing your order. Please direct any questions regarding this to Scott or Jodie on 1800 062 550. | ![]() |
